Inverse Phase

Inverse Phase will no longer be appearing at this year’s event.

What happens when you're so obsessed with chiptunes and oldskool game music that you go to an event called MAGFest, then you have such a great time that you buy it and run it for ten years, and while you're doing that, you become so inspired by all the people you book as guests that you become a game musician yourself? Something like this, perhaps!

Inverse Phase, evangelist of the demoscene and lover of pizza, once known as Mr. MAGFest, but you can call him Brendan, performs fun original game jams and tributes, all written on consoles and computers from before 1990. And he promises he won't try to talk too much on stage.

After leaving his teacher’s desk for the final time over a decade ago, Mega Ran (Raheem Jarbo) has repurposed his teaching voice to become one of the premier voices for positive hip-hop. With his latest release, “Live ‘95” the renowned wordsmith is exploring the cross-section between urban life, hip-hop, and basketball, an intersection that was so crucial to not only his upbringing but his overall success in the music industry.
