We’d like to give an update on the MAGFest 2018 hotel booking process. We’re currently working out the best way to handle hotel booking for both the Gaylord National and our overflow hotels. We apologize for the wait, but we want to let you know that you can rest easy for at LEAST the next two weeks while we optimize the process. Our aim is to make the process easy, straightforward, and less stressful on your end. We want to make sure that everyone who registered last week by the deadline gets a fair and square shot at booking, considering the traffic we received on registration launch day, so we're evaluating all of our options before moving forward.
While we anticipate most of you will be able to snag a room in National Harbor (remember that many rooms house 2-4 people!), we're offering other nearby lodgings in Oxon Hill and Alexandria--they're very cost-effective and a short rideshare or drive away! Finally, we won't be giving an exact time (to ensure we don't get rushed all at once), but we'll give you a timeframe to keep an eye on your inbox!
When booking a room in the Gaylord National, we will still be requiring a deposit at the time of booking, equal to the first night’s stay (taxes and fees included). This deposit will equal around $200. Only one room may be booked at a time.
We'd also like to note that there are only a few hundred badges left until MAGFest 2018 badges hit the $85 at-door price--get your badge soon for some savings!
We appreciate your patience with us and are here to answer any questions you may have. We’ll keep you updated as we know more. If you want to get in touch, email us, Facebook us, or Tweet at us! Rock on.
