The plan for MAGFest 2018 hotel rooms!

Heyo, MAGFriends! We’re THRILLED to announce some further details regarding our new and improved hotel booking process! We’ve been hard at work considering our options and we’re hopeful that this solution will make booking a hotel faster, easier, and fairer for everyone. If you preregistered for Super MAGFest (or filled out your group registration info) on or before Sunday, August 13 or applied to be a vendor at MAGFest 2018, listen up:

Each eligible registrant will get a username and password, and a customized reservations weblink that will only be able to book ONE room with that access. This means one room, PERIOD, whether you’re booking in the Gaylord or an overflow hotel. Choose wisely! You can modify your reservation later (you can add/remove a night, add/remove names onto the room) but you cannot add another room. This doesn't guarantee you a room in the Gaylord, but it at least makes sure those who pre-registered get first crack at getting the closest rooms.

This link is the ONLY WAY to book your room, telephone bookings will be completely disabled (mobile browsers are ok) – though phone assistance with the online process will be available. Note that this unique link will only be valid for the first 48 hours that reservations are open. Afterwards, booking will be opened to the general public, and at that time, people who have already reserved a room can reserve more.

Next, get excited for REAL TIME AVAILABILITY! Using the booking link, you’ll be able to see how many rooms are left in each hotel simultaneously and it will be much easier for you to compare prices across all of our hotels and book a room accordingly.

We have lots of great hotel options and we have plenty of rooms in our overflow hotels to meet all demand, so we won't sell out of rooms. Never fear if you’re not in the first wave! We have a wide range of hotel options available so if you’re looking to save a little cash, our blocks in nearby Alexandria and Oxon Hill are a fantastic option and they’re simply a short drive/Uber/Lyft away from the Gaylord.

We’re looking to launch in early October with another update beforehand. Please have patience with us as this is a DRASTIC change for us, too!
