Arena is a space at Super MAGFest that exists to pull attendees out of their comfort zones by offering opportunities to be active and social. We feature longtime instructors such as Yoga for Gamers and Latin Dancing for Nerds offering classes throughout the weekend. We also curate awesome attendee-submitted classes teaching various dance styles such as K-Pop or Filipino Line Dancing. In addition to pushing attendees physically, we also encourage them to be more outgoing and open in social settings with offerings such as improv comedy classes.
We are also the home of many fun shows throughout the weekend. The MAGMoves dance showcase has been running since 2020, giving MAGFest attendees an opportunity to show us their moves. We also host Antipode Dance and their awesome show which blends comedy, dance and lots of memes (they also teach belly dance classes)! Arena is also where you can find Cut Throat Cosplay, Cosplay Dance Company and our newest addition in 2025, DragFest: MAGFest’s first drag show.
At night, we turn the lights down and the speakers up to turn Arena into an electronic music club. The Arena Dance Parties happen each night from 10pm until 4am (or later), featuring some of the MAGFest community’s best DJs. Every night is themed around a video game and you can expect a wide range of fun, dance-able electronic genres. Cosplay, conga lines and dance circles are STRONGLY encouraged!
