What is MAGScouts?

MAGScouts is a self-guided experience designed to introduce younger attendees to the age-appropriate content at MAGFest events.

What age group does MAGScouts consist of?

While our festival is generally intended to be family-friendly/PG-15, we know that’s not the same as FOR kids. MAGScouts highlights existing MAGFest content that is appropriate for all ages.

Children are allowed at MAGFest?!?!

Absolutely! We want attendees of all ages to enjoy themselves at our events and MAGScouts is a great opportunity to highlight content that is engaging and accessible for our Junior badge-holders and their adults.

Ok, but how much do the Junior badges cost?

Children 6 through 12 get 50% off the current badge price, rounded down to the nearest dollar. Children 5 and under are free. Be sure to select the ‘12 and Under’ button when you pre-register to get the discount. If your child is 5 or under, the system will mark the badge as free prior to the order being finalized.

How can my Family participate?

Free activity sheets can be found at Info Desk, Makerspace, and Registration. Family-friendly content at the event will be marked as such in our Guidebook.

Can I drop my Child off at a MAGScouts’ activity/is this childcare?

MAGScouts is not a daycare/childcare service and adult supervision is still required for all Junior attendees ages 12 and under, even for content marked as MAGScouts-approved. Junior attendees ages 13-18 do not need to be accompanied by an adult.
