Known as the Protomen, these robot folks make jams about surviving oppression and despair through the power of fist pumps, hope, and rock 'n roll. Oh yeah, and every song is part of large story starring Mega Man and his best friends and enemies.


SAMMUS

SAMMUS (Enongo Lumumba-Kasongo) is a black feminist rapper, producer, and scholar with family roots in Côte D'Ivoire and the Congo. She was raised in Ithaca, NY, which is located on the traditional lands of the Gayogo̱hó꞉nǫˀ (Guy-yo-KO-no) Nation, also known as the Cayuga Nation. Since 2010 Sammus has written, produced, and recorded three full-length albums, three EPs, a beat tape, and several one-off collaborations with notable artists including Moor Mother, Open Mike Eagle, Noga Erez, Xenia Rubinos, Mega Ran, and Sadie Dupuis in addition to her collaborations with video game developers, podcasters, and filmmakers. In 2019 she received her PhD in science and technology studies from Cornell University and in 2022 she became the David S. Josephson Assistant Professor of Music at Brown University, located within the ancestral homelands of the Narragansett Indian Tribe.

Metroid Metal

Metroid Metal is a prog metal project founded by Stemage in 2003. With the original goal of writing original a few original metal songs with some Metroid sprinkled on top, the project quickly went from a bedroom operation and a cassette 8-track to several albums of material and a full band with talented players from across the country. Metroid Metal is thrilled to take to the stage for this years Prime-themed MAGFest.

Ramona Vektroid (Or As You Know Her, "Vaporwave Woman") has spent the better part of the last 15 years dissecting the art of The Sample to degrees previously unimaginable. After surviving the warzones of Millennial Microgenres, and with her latest discovery in the form of "Crash Muisc," she emerges from cryostasis wielding newly discovered eldritch powers that were previously known only to the ancient scholars of IDM.

Soundclown Billionaire Momo "chk!dsk" (pronounced "check disk") Funbun XIV Esq-II (hit max levels in lawyer shit and prestige'd after passing the superbar) is a living, breathing psyop that you most likely know under a different name that my team has advised me to, quote, "never bring up in public." Or, yknow. weedhitter, from twitter, lol. Slapping together live theater, audioistic masochism, amen breaks, and heavy riffs, this godforsaken rabbit will not rest until you have been sufficiently entertained OR annoyed!

Together, these two Titans of Misfortune work tirelessly to bring you an audiovisual assault the likes of which you've never before seen! "THE MOMO & RARA SHOW" is an experience like nothing else!
