jmr is Jeff Roberts, an electrical engineer by day, and visualist, chiptune musician, and game audio archivist by night. jmr's visual performances combine live coding and audio reactive elements, creating a dizzyingly colorful display in tight sync with the music.
Jeff is a founding member of the chiptune/vgm prog rock band Marshall Art, and has done audio engineering work for official soundtrack album releases for vgm classics such as Bomberman, Breath of Fire, Phantasy Star, Gimmick!, and more.
Nobel Yoo is a creative technologist based in the Bay Area. He helps out at Syzygy SF, an arts co-op, and makes music and visuals with code!
Don Miller is an artist and educator based in Gainesville, FL. He performs live visuals in real time under the alias NO CARRIER.
His psychedelic low-res video art is created by writing new software for old video game hardware like the NES, defying technical limitations and exploring the visual aesthetic of technology long thought obsolete.
Part of the 8bitpeoples artist collective, he has performed, exhibited, and lectured worldwide. Much of the software used in the NO CARRIER project has been released for free and is open source.
