Covid positive case reports 

Below is a list of events/spaces at which an attendee was present who later tested positive for COVID. Unfortunately, we do not have the capacity or precise knowledge to determine whether they were contagious at the time, how close they were to others in the room, etc., but we hope by providing the details we do have, that you are able to make more informed decisions about your own health & safety.

Please note that we also monitored indoor air quality each day across our festival spaces. By our measurements, almost all function spaces (especially the expo halls, atrium, and large ballrooms such as panels, concerts, and LAN) qualified as very well-ventilated and well-filtered per CDC standards–almost as good as being outdoors. As a general rule, the smaller the space or event, the more likely you are to have come into contact with aerosols from an infected person.

We’ll reiterate here that if in doubt, you should act as if you have definitely come into contact with COVID-19. Though we did everything we could to make the event safe, we still urge you to err on the side of caution, especially when it comes to people in your life who are immunocompromised or otherwise unable to be vaccinated (e.g. relatives who are under 5 or elderly):

  • Continue to wear a mask in public indoor settings.

  • Schedule a PCR test if you haven't already done so.

  • If you test positive, fill out our COVID-positive self-reporting form.

  • Leave your contact tracing app active for at least 10 days (don't switch states from whichever one you had active at-event!)
