Chipspace Showcases
Chipspace wouldn’t be complete with various communities joining in on the fun! Not only do we start off with a concert, we’re having a massive open-mic session on Thursday, and even a special performance later in the night! For Friday and Saturday, we’ve given multiple communities the opportunity to host their own showcases for each artist.

DEFENSE MECHANISM returns to chipspace and is a past performer on the main stage
Disposable Planet is a solo music project by New Jersey-born artist and filmmaker Brett Molé. He makes chiptune and hardware tracker music with a Nintendo Game Boy and a Dirtywave M8 Tracker. Embrace the weirdness. Tracker chiptunes to divert the Evil Eye. Funky grooves to de-weaponize the universe at war with you. Ambient music to quell early 21st-Century paranoia.

NIJI SAGA The hyper-melodic power-pop-punk-chiptune hailing from the east coast bringing nostalgia to the forefront with their unique blend of 8-bit video game melodies, anime-inspired guitar riffs, and punk energy. Gamers rise up, death to NIJI SAGA, become a part of their colorful, high-energy live performances.
DJ Super Sonic "The Fastest DJ Alive" hails from the DC/Baltimore area and is ready to kick it with some Chiptunes on modded NESes and more goodies
Voonic2 Making their debut in the US, Voonic2 is a Canadian chiptunes rock band from Montreal-Quebec, formed in 2019. The band consists of NazoNo (bass guitar, chiptunes and drums programming) and aRtPG (vocals and lead guitar).
One Hit Kill Shred guitarist by blood, chiptune musician by marriage. Australian Chiptune tracker musician and Gameboy class clown, ONE HIT KILL makes his way to SUPER MAGFEST 2025. Previously he has appeared at Datagoth's Reception Festival in Australia, Binary's Tech Revolt in Singapore and is a prolific contributor to the Australian chiptune live music scene.

livvy94 is a chiptune musician from the Midwest, known for her involvement in the EarthBound Beginnings Remake Hack and Star Fox Exploration Showcase. When she's not making music, she's doing film photography, bike riding, building local community, and hotwiring gender.
Smoothbrain - Based out of Baltimore, Smoothbrain's all about radiating smoothwaves
Judas Jackrabbit - Eden explores soundscapes in Chiptunes out in the wilds of NJ

N-SPC Done EZ - A Primer on Super NES Music Programming
livvy94 returns and is joined by Isabelle Chiming to give an academic and practical discussion on making Super Nintendo music using the EarthBound Music Editor, a romhacking tool that edits songs written in N-SPC. This is Nintendo's proprietary music data format for the SNES, specifically the iteration used in EarthBound, Star Fox, Zelda 3, and other games. Topics covered will include commands and effects, using custom instruments, and previewing a song with an SPC player.

Dorkus64 is rolling in to share music hoping to spin and win (Your hearts?)
Maxo - Max Coburn, often under the name ‘Maxo’ is a musician and sound designer from Brooklyn, New York who specializes in digitally produced music, channeling a wide array of style and influence from Jazz, to Digital Fusion, to various types of dance music and beyond.
Petriform - From San Jose, CA, Petriform has brought energetic chiptunes and synth music to the California chipmusic scene (and beyond!) for years. Drawing unapologetically from a grab-bag bursting at the seams with genre influences including bubblegum pop, 80s-90s VGM, third wave ska, prog metal, happy hardcore, and turn-of-the-millennium pop punk, no two Petriform releases are the same – and neither are the live shows, for that matter!
CHIPTUNE OPEN MIC
